Welcome to Phoenix
The GNV Bridge Phoenix enrichment program is a Waldorf inspired, secular, inclusive group with the intention of holding space to allow students to form a community of peers that positively influence their study habits and learning. Gardening, nature, science, art and social justice are themes that often color our educational experience. Allowing children and teens to unfold into who they are through exposure to the beautiful things all around them is our goal.
Our Phoenix group meets three days a week from 9am-2pm. Enrichment class time may include math practice, writing practice, circle time, or Waldorf main lessons. Our rhythm will include the breathing in and breathing out of the Waldorf experience. We will complete classes time in groups of similar grade levels, have lunch, games or gardening, or volunteer opportunities to break up these focus times. Students need to have to ability to work independently on their assignments during the focus time. They can be gently reminded to stay on task but generally need to be able to study without disrupting others during the focus times.
Waldorf blocks will include main lesson books, watercolor, molding with wax and clay, and other artistic expressions.
GNV Bridge co-op offer festivals and field trips for the whole family to attend. Volunteers are always needed and welcome.
Our goal is to foster confidence in the students and their families so all can feel empowered on their homeschool journey.
